Wembley In Sight For The Reds

Liverpool keep Wembley dream alive as they beat Stoke 1-0 in the Capital One Cup semifinals. Even though the Reds stepped on the Brittania Stadium without star Coutinho and  midfielder Dejan Lovren Jordon Ibe scored on the 37th minute to give Liverpool the lead.
Stoke soon retaliated but their attacks were rendered useless by the iron wall of the Reds defense. The game was nail-biting for almost all the time even though Stoke failed to make a comeback. The final whistle gave Liverpool a very well deserved win.
Ibe on the win says “I'm delighted to get a goal but overall I'm just happy with the team getting the result in such a big game.
“It was very difficult, especially for me, there was a lot of defending asked of me. But I'm just glad we ground it out until the 90th minute.
“We needed to get a result after the West Ham game and [we knew] the importance of this game so we just need to continue and take it into the game on Friday as well.”

Klopp Eyes Marc-Andre ter Stegen

 The Reds eye Euro Star

The Reds' boss is targeting ter Stegen as he offers 12 million Pounds. It can be a very good move as the current goalkeeper Mignolet has made some very costly errors this season despite his performance last season.

Klopp has pegged the German as a potential game-changer for Liverpool and has made a bid of 12M which is a bit of a profit for the Spanish giants. However the officials at Camp Nou claim that he is easily worth 20M or more. ter Stegen has a buy-out clause of 65M pounds but Barca agree that the figure is a tad bit absurd. However they are in no hurry to let their star goalkeeper go as he has given an amazing performance in the Champions league last season.
If Jordi Mosip can replace ter Stegen is a question to be answered as Bravo has been in the squad more often than ter Stegen. Barca think 20M is a fair deal though the Reds should find a tough challenger to face Mignolet if they are to take upon that offer.
However it is safe to expect that ter Stegen will expect to be the new no. 1 on the Reds' squad.
